Differences between US NES Classic Edition and Japanese Famicom Classic Edition:
- Japanese version has a different box, console and controllers
- Japanese version has a few different games
- Japanese version comes with small 2 built-in controllers instead of 1 detachable. So unfortunately you cannot connect other wired or wireless controllers
- Japanese version does not come with a power adapter (any usb-a phone power adapter will work fine, so no big deal)

A few notes:

Console and controllers are really small

Console does NOT have a cartridge slot, you cannot play any cartridges like with old consoles

there are 2 versions of Famicom Classic Edition: 2016 & 2018 Editions. While US versions are almost identical, Japanese versions are different. I have 2018 version listed as well, check out my other listings

I suggest playing on a smaller TV or monitor, games are very old, so the pixels are big compared to modern games on modern consoles. So the games will look much better if You see them on a smaller screen. Besides cords are kinda short so you will be sitting close to the screen, unless you use some hdmi extender and connect the console to a closer power outlet, sitting 3FT away from 70″ TV will be overwhelming
